Editorial Standards
Every article on FreshNestly follows a specific process before it reaches you. This page explains that process so you can judge the work for yourself.
Last updated: March 9, 2026Where Our Information Comes From
We rely on university cooperative extension services, USDA zone data, label instructions, manufacturer specs, and direct testing when the topic allows it.
Peer-reviewed horticulture research and established reference books help us explain plant behavior, timing, and tradeoffs more clearly.
Product recommendations and planting advice are shaped by work in a real home yard. If we have not tested something ourselves, we say that plainly.
Random blog posts, scraped comparison pages, and AI output without human review do not count as evidence on this site.
We publish practical guidance, not filler. If we cannot verify a claim or explain why it matters in a real yard, we leave it out. That applies to planting windows, cost ranges, tool recommendations, and treatment advice.
Affiliate Links & Product Recommendations
Some links on this site are affiliate links. When you click one and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. That helps keep the site running, but it does not control what we recommend. We recommend products we have used or researched closely enough to explain the real tradeoffs.
If we have not tested a product ourselves, we say so. We do not accept payment for positive reviews, and we do not rank products by commission rate.
Updates & Corrections
Articles carry a visible last-updated date and are reviewed when seasonal timing changes, product lines move, or a guide starts drifting out of date. We do not silently rewrite claims and pretend the old version never existed.
If a reader points out an error, we investigate it. The fastest way to get a correction reviewed is to send the exact URL, the claim in question, and the source or reason it appears wrong.
Email [email protected] with the page URL and the issue you spotted. We read every report and follow up when a correction is needed.
